Mumbai Girl Myrah Sachdev marches into World's top 8 Youngest rated Chess Players

3 December, 2019

Forays into the list of worlds youngest Rated chess players & Wins silver in the National schools chess 2019

The date December 1, 2019 should be etched in the memory of our girl Myrah Sachdev. It was sort of double whammy for the six-year-old kid as she not only bagged the silver medal in the prestigious National Schools chess that just concluded at Aurangabad. The kid's joy doubled as she leaped to the eighth position in the list of the youngest rated chess players across the globe.

Winning silver in the ultimate National Schools Chess Championship with an incredible score of 7.5 is not a mean feat. The second-place finish in Aurangabad appears like a confirmation of her steady progress, given her title triumph with an impressive score in the states schools chess last month. Now, Myrah will officially represent India in the Asian & World Schools Chess Championships scheduled next year.
