Our darling Dev shah does India proud yet again ; wins bronze at the Asian youth chess Championships 2017

March 10, 2017

This SMCAite scored 7 out of 9 points in the blitz format where players from 17 Asian countries were in the fray at Tashkent,Uzbekistan.

While our little princess suhaani narrowly missed a medal by a whisker to finish fourth in the rapid format

Suhaani, however, will hold her head high as she has scripted history by becoming the first Girl from mumbai to qualify for the asian youth chess championships in her first Asian youth.

The name Dev shah "is synonymous with winning who is undeniably the greatest junior chess players of our country. It's rare to see dev miss a podium finish especially when he represents indian in the main stream global chess events, from world schools chess champion to silver medallist in the world youth chess championships , from the youngest speaker at TEdX to the National child award recipient ,he has won all prestigious titles and awards that were on offer.

This Ambani school kid has enough talent and firepower for us chess lovers to be excited about.

With an incredible rating of 1857 ELO points dev is one of the most influential juniors chess players across the world.

We believe he has been instrumental in changing the face of Indian sport, especially where junior chess is concerned. Time will surely prove that. But in the meantime, we need to applaud how comprehensively he has made his mark in arguably the most popular individual sport in the world and the manner in which he continues to be India’s ambassador on the global stage.

Our heartiest Congrats to Dev Shah and his parents.
